On the road & on the farm.

On the road & on the farm.

And just like that, we are in Cape Town. ON HOLIDAY. Well doing a bit of work here and there but Mostly ON HOLIDAY.

The drive was fine, good actually. No road works or stop and go’s and the roads were quiet. Maybe because on Sunday the world was watching Mandelas last goodbye on TV…or just because it was Sunday and most people hit the roads on Saturday. Anyhow. The drive was good. We left at 5:30 am and gave Jose a hug who is taking care of our house/kitties while we are away (I really love my kitties and hate leaving them for so long)

We listened to the entire Funeral service on the radio. Each speech. I guess just to say we know where we were and what we were doing the day Mandela was burried.

We arrived home to mums house at just past 7pm (and it was still so light out. Strange Cape Town) and passed out before 9pm.

Yesterday was SO MUCH FUN. I opened our tasting room to do a private tasting for a WONDERFUL group of ladies. A rather famous blogger, Cupcakemummy and I have been getting to know eachother over twitter for a while and we on the farm fell in love with her illustrations. She and 3 friends and 2 kiddies came and visited. Havent laughed this much during a tasting in quite a while. They were the perfect guests and we had a walk around the farm to take some photos. I will be posting all of them as soon as I figure out how to get them on to my tablet.

Thank you so much ladies for booking and coming out to the farm on your public holiday. We were honored to share it with you.

{This is my first post off of my tablet and am still getting used to this wordpress. Please excuse all the mistakes. Well come to think of it I always have mistakes in posts sooo yeah}
